The Purdue women's soccer locker room has undergone a stunning transformation, revitalizing a space with a tight budget and deadline. Brookhaven Group expertly repurposed the existing lockers, enhancing them with sleek laminate and walnut skinning, while installing thousands of feet of LED lighting to create a modern ambiance. New backlit name plates, cushions, hardware, and secure locking mechanisms were added to each locker, ensuring a safe and personalized area for valuables. This thoughtful redesign blends functionality with style, breathing new life into the space.
The project extends beyond the lockers to include a vibrant common area, featuring a 100" & 70" TV, a ping pong table, and LED trim lighting that can sync with music for an energizing atmosphere. This versatile space also doubles as a study area, with subdued lighting options and study tables available for student-athletes. A new glass partition, tinted with the iconic block P and Boilermakers logo on the transom, separates the locker room from the bathroom/shower area, adding both privacy and a touch of team pride. Brookhaven Group is eager to bring this refreshing approach to other schools and sports, transforming outdated locker rooms into inspiring environments.
