Who We Are
Brookhaven Group is a Residential Development company associated with other organizations under the Brookhaven name, including Brookhaven Homes, Brookhaven Design and Brookhaven of Lafayette. These companies were created to offer residents of the greater Lafayette area an option of contemporary homes with a focus on detail and style. Our founder, Craig Sorenson, has brought his previous experiences in industrial construction to the residential development industry, utilizing project controls and contract management seen in multi-million dollar refinery, chemical and biopharmaceutical projects.

Craig A. Sorenson
Craig attended Purdue University and studied Accounting, Construction Engineering Management and Forensics. After college, Craig hired on with BMWC Constructors, a large industrial mechanical contractor headquartered in Indianapolis. During his career at BMWC, he traveled the country building large projects for clients such as Boeing, Intel, Eli Lilly, Shell, Procter & Gamble, Citgo, and others. His most recent projects include a $30 million dollar scope for Magellan Enterprises (which required the installation of 88,000 LF of 42" and 6" underground pipe) and multiple major lab upgrades for Shell Oil's Technology Center in Houston, Texas. During his 10 year industrial construction career, Craig worked his way to become an owner at BMWC but decided to take on a new challenge and moved his wife Amanda and son John back to his home town of Lafayette to start the Brookhaven family of companies.
